Stylish Central City Apartment with Pool and Gym

Me and my other half had a great time in the Apartment. Close to everything and the apartment itself self felt like home. We didn’t want to come back to Hawaii. Definitely will book again when we plan out trip next year !

L’appartement est idéalement situé pour pouvoir se balader à pied et accéder à de nombreux lieux d’intérêt. Il procède toutes les fonctionnalité dont j’ai eu besoin. L’arrivée autonome et flexible est top d’autant plus avec les instructions très claires mises à disposition. Le seul petit bémol si je devais entendons cité un : nous entendons des bruits de rails la nuit (transport en commun proche?), si vous avez le sommeil léger il est préférable de penser au bouchons d’oreille. Tout était parfait pour mon séjour de 4 nuits !

Nos encantó el lugar, muy céntrico, limpio y con todas las comodidades necesarias para descansar y reponerse luego de un largo viaje. Destacamos la amabilidad de los anfitriones, la respuesta fue rápida y el check in flexible. Respecto al retiro de llaves, nos había generado dudas los comentarios de otros usuarios donde decían que se retiran en otra dirección, pero literal es en la misma calle frente a la entrada del edificio, muy fácil. Gracias por la hospitalidad y buena comunicación. Recomendaremos y sin duda volveremos cuando pasemos por Auckland! ?

Wir hatten eine sehr gute Zeit in der Unterkunft! Die Beschreibung war zutreffend, die Kommunikation mit Stefan und seinen Kolleg:innen perfekt. Check-in Anweisungen waren sehr klar und einfach zu verstehen. Die Lage ist unschlagbar und die Unterkunft war zudem sehr sauber. Gerne wieder!

Great responsive host. Fantastic central city location, still close to main attractions but neighbouring a park helped with a more peaceful stay. Perfect building amenities as well. wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

A great stay in a spotless apartment. The building is conveniently located right in the middle of the CBD making it extremely easy to access all the main areas of Auckland. The shower head displayed in the photos is different to the one in apartment but this is a minor detail. The bed is extremely comfortable and the apartment is surprisingly spacious for the city centre. The communication from the Zodiak team was fantastic. Would stay again!

Lovely place, with all the necessities within walking distance! I felt right at home, I loved being indoors with all the amenities that we needed from a dishwasher to a washing machine, accompanied by the dryer, TV and superfast Wi-Fi this place really had everything we needed! 10 out of 10 would recommend :)

Supermarkets are within walking distance. The internet in the apartment is fast and stable. Impressed with the provision of amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toilet rolls. Bath towels are also provided. The downside would be the apartment looks aged comparing to photos and smells old, but clean. The lightings are somehow too dark in the living room and bedroom for me when working and reading at night. The card key is located at a place not so near to the apartment for collection, which is slightly inconvenient when carrying heavy luggages arriving to the city in the midnight. The host is exceptionally responsive on replying messages even in late night and very helpful.

The apartment is perfectly located in the CBD, it's clean and neat even though a bit oldish for the furniture and the carpet, and the spa pool area is just amazing with a view on the Sky Tower! We had a great time there and enjoyed our stay. The only real drawback is the noise that comes from the city and the bars downstairs at night during the weekend : we could hear very loud music and people shouting and it even woke us up sometimes. The apartment is near the elevators so you can also hear the evelators' sound throughout the night but it doesn't prevent you from sleeping, it's just a low background noise. Overall, we enjoyed our time there and we would recommend it to people who want a nice play to stay in Auckland CBD with a great relaxing spa pool area!

Decent experience. Clear, professional communication. Check process was a hassle with luggage, especially with large suitcases. Great location. Cleanliness was fine, but some spots were missed.

Space was definitely a bit smaller than it appeared in the photos, but overall it was just enough for two people to stay comfortably. Was very centrally located in the city, and we were able to explore easily.

Stefan’s place is great - spacious, secure and brilliant location. The apartment is as shown in the photographs. Communication was fantastic from start to finish. Would stay there again.

We stayed six weeks in this apartment. During this time we formed a very good idea of its strengths and weaknesses. Some of the key aspects to consider follow. NOISE The apartment is exposed to the elevator noise (elevator shaft just next to the apartment), pressure water pipes, and (on weekends) nightlife noise from Chancery square. The background noise level is about 35 db with spikes of 40 dB when the elevator passes in the living room/kitchen area. In the bedroom area noise can be up to 45 dB up until 1 am in the morning on Fridays and Saturdays. I actually measured this noise level values! For reference the World Health Organization says that the background noise upper limit for healthy sleeping is 30 dB. SUNLIGHT The apartment has practically no direct sunlight on the Winter months (this is due to bldg orientation and the elevated skyline surrounding it). I clocked 15 min direct sunlight in the early morning. This, makes the living room/kitchen area very dark throughout the day. GENERAL MAINTENANCE The carpet is worn out and needs replacement (otherwise pls drop the word "stylish" from the listing). The sofa is also worn out and stained. The window was very dirty when we arrived. We also found the oven extremely dirty. The fridge is very small even for an apartment this size and one of the two shelves is broken, half the space of the freezer was occupied by frost. The equipment in the kitchen limited. The pans are extremely dirty and worn out (we had to buy a new one). The bathroom door needs to be closed firmly (almost slammed) to close. We communicated with the person in charge about the noise situation (I believe we never interacted with Stefan, at least no one in the chat identified him/herself by that name). We often missed sleep or require to wear earplugs/sound blockers at night. I understand that this would only be a problem for light sleepers (as ourselves!). Eventually we needed to leave early over this issue. The manager, who generally disregarded our comments (apparently we were the firsts to notice the noise) said that we needed to stay an additional month to issue a reimbursement for the rest of our planned stay, which I believe is better than they were required to do (the cancellation policy is strict apparently). We thank them for that! We contacted Airbnb describing the situation and they were able to scratch a few days from the notice period that they were demanding. All an all this has been clearly my worst Airbnb experience after 7 years as guest and host. We still liked the area and the bldg (gym & spa are the highlight).

A great, hotel-like experience. Very comfortable. A short walk to Britomart and the waterfront in one direction, the Domain in the other. Nice view of the park. Some noise on the weekends from drunken revellers, but to be expected in an inner city location.

Stefan's place is very well located with a great supermarket right around the corner. We walked every evening around lovely Saint Alberts Park and found everything in the apartment very much to our liking. Fundamentally, it is very well set up with nearly all the benefits of hotel living. Additionally, we found the owners to be excellent communicators and very understanding of our unique arrival needs during Auckland covid level 3. Thank you. We would most certainly stay again if the opportunity presented itself.

Unfortunately this place want all that it was cracked up to be with the great reviews. First we had to walk 15 minutes with our bags after collecting the keys at another location, then there was a terrible smell in the flat. There is something wrong with the drains. There was a cockroach which then came out from the wardrobe as we tried to put our belongings away. We then were told we couldn’t leave bags in the room and had to return the key on check out to the location 15 mins away. After this place was closed we were well and truly fed up with this place. Don’t stay in a place monitored by Zodiac!

This was a fabulous inner city place to stay for my 'staycation' . Very stylish & clean. A really good sized space for an inner city apartment - plenty of room. Beautiful outlook onto Albert Park & Chancery. Lovely bath & good pressure shower. The Metropolis is a lovely building to stay in & a great location. They had tea. coffee and milk all there which makes a difference when you are travelling & just want a cuppa. I had an initial issue with the AC unit, which I think was due to covid 19 & the place having not been booked for some time . However the customer service from Zodiak was excellent & they rectified it the following day & kept up the communication. with me. Thanks for a great few days.

Apartment itself is nice and in a great location. We had some issues with the dishwasher and kitchen sink which could not be fixed due to the COVID-19 lockdown circumstances, and I understand those realities. The problem with our stay was that we made the mistake of booking an additional week at the apartment outside of Airbnb, because the host requested it. Upon checkout, we were hit with a $240 charge for cleaning when we’d already paid a cleaning fee through Airbnb. So far the host has only agreed to a partial refund, although we’re still working through it. Always book via Airbnb!

Hi Michael, thank you for staying with us recently and for your review. We understand the second part of your booking was made direct but this was not requested by us and we treat each reservation similarly. As we've said, the extra charges were due to you not checking out of the apartment at the check-in time which caused our cleaners to run into you at the apartment which is a risk for their safety and yours during this time - we had let you know the importance of this beforehand also. They left immediately and needed to return the next day instead so the charge was due to the extra fee that they'd charged us. The apartment was also left in a terrible state which we have sent you photos and videos for also as they needed to spend an extra two hours than usual. Like we've said, we are willing to offer a partial refund but don't find it fair that you expect us to cover the total fees you've incurred us.

Great apartment in a fanastic location. Communication with hosts was faultless. We struggled with nightclub noise adjacent to the building on Friday and Saturday night which would affect a decision to stay here again. The pool was great, the gym could do with an upgrade.

Great location if you are interested in nightlife, if you are looking for something quiet you might have some issues. The building and neighbors were very quiet but the places in the neighborhood echoed. BEST shower water pressure and getting to soak in the tub was nice as well. Definitely recommend!

This is a great apartment to stay in if you’re looking to stay in the CBD but not be directly on Queen St. The apartment was cute, clean, and convenient. Check in and check out were easy peezy. All of the amenities listed were there. The only thing tricky to find was the entrance: don’t walk into the hotel, go around the other side to the resident’s entrance.

Our stay here was fantastic! It was an amazing location, so close to everything yet still somehow packed away in a tranquil area, we could experience the city to it's full capacity and then relax in our amazing accommodation. The pool and spa facilities were so relaxing and had a great view of the city. I loved the large sliding doors we could open and take in the great view this room offered. Close to boutique french cafe's and alleyways and also very short walk to the waterfront. I recommend staying here and hope to be back again soon! Would choose over a hotel experience any day.
