Freemans Bay 2 bedroom apartment

Fantastic location in walking distance to the city and Ponsonby. Set on a peaceful side street with Queenies Cafe and the supermarket a few steps away. Very clean. Big TV and easy set up for casting. Although there is a dishwasher, it's not on the amenity list and was out of order when we stayed. This wasn't a big deal for us though. Also no coffee machine or hairdryer so we brought with us. Parking spot in the basement easy to access and safe. Overall, great value for an Auckland central stay.

Stefan’s place is great, there were a few minor issues but nothing major. The apartment could do with a fan or air conditioning for warmer days and there was no pulley for the blinds in the lounge but these were minor inconveniences. The location is fantastic and the ease of access was very much to our liking. We had an issue extending our booking and this let it down

We stayed as a family of 4 and the apartment suited our needs perfectly. Everything was as described and all instructions were very clear. Location is excellent and the pool was a nice bonus!

We could not stay at this apartment due to the many cockroaches. However, the place was as described and I'm sure would have been a lovely stay if there had not been cockroaches.

Hi Haidee, We apologise that there were cockroaches present when you arrived. We have had pest control come to the apartment to exterminate and their conclusion was that the pests were coming from the garden below. Again, we are sorry that you had this experience but we have resolved this issue for future guests. Hopefully we can host you again soon!

Awesome service and replies response . Key not been on site and small drive away to get the key and lock timed out and had to wait ten minutes . But not a problem . Parking for other vehicles is easy on the quiet street . Renee was great . Excellent location also.

We had a wonderful stay. We were close to family and lots of cool restaurants and cafes. It he place was lovely, private and quiet. Stefan was very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to stay.

Good location, needed small maintenance. Check in process was a tad cumbersome having to fill out multiple additional online forms and key lock was a tad of a distance from the apartment.

We have stayed here before & very disappointed this stay. Key is already located inconveniently (approx 1-2kms+ from the property location). 2xstaff members were due to stay, one staff member is pregnant. They were forced to taxi to the accommodation key location - no key was in the box. Staff rung the number provided for urgent/access issues & no response for over a hour. Staff were forced to send the taxi away and wait on side of the road with baggage. Eventually when I made contact with the number, they said they would call me back in 15 minutes. 30-45 minutes later I called back when no response. I had to keep following up. By this stage, staff were very distressed after an extremely long day of travel stick in Auckland CBD, far from the accommodation with no key, no toilet and one pregnant. There was no concern at all - very disappointed that all the response was 'cleaners fault'. We ended up paying for staff to stay at SkyCity the first night of accommodation. So bad

The apartment is in a great location, easily walkable to Ponsonby and Jervois Roads, as well as the Viaduct Basin and the Wynyard Quarter. There is a New World supermarket just down the street, and a cute little coffee shop is only two minutes walk away. Stefan provides clear directions for checking in, and departure procedures are simple. The apartment has a great sound system and is spacious, however the cleaners could have paid a little more attention to mopping the kitchen floor. Stefan responded quickly to messages, and was genuine in helping us enjoy a pleasant weekend in Auckland. Thank you!

The apartment was exactly as described and had everything we needed for our stay with our two young boys. Communication was good and our questions were always responded to quickly. Unfortunately didn't get time to make use of the pool but it looked lovely. The location was perfect for us and the place was great value for money. The check in process was a bit of a faff having to get keys from another location in the city, it wasn't far and was easy enough but just an extra inconvenience after a day travelling with little kids. The listing is run by a property management company and they have an extra platform that you need to sign in to for check in/check out details which I also found a bit annoying - would prefer to keep all communication on Airbnb. There wasn't aircon (unless we just didn't spot it) but the apartment didn't seem to get too hot even when it was pretty hot days.

Stefan’s place is in a perfect location, close to the Waterfront and Ponsonby Rd (which is a fantastic cafe strip). The space is well laid out and extremely quiet. Stefan’s communications were 10/10, extremely responsive. I’d absolutely stay here again.

The location of this apartment was fab. It was just a bit confusing trying to locate the correct parking garage, but just having a parking spot was epic. It was also a bit confusing finding out how to get to the apartment from the front of the apartment but there was a useful map once you get in. The apartment was very spacious which was great as we were with our baby, the only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the message I received once we got back to our home country advising that we would inquire a fine if the owner did due to noise complaint which was probably from our active 1 year old running around. The owner knew we’d be traveling with a baby so if noise is an issue they should not accept us as guests. We were not informed of any noise complaints our whole 12 days there until after we left. Also, the dryer didn’t work so we used a drying rack that was in the house but apparently that wasn’t allowed to be on the balcony which we were unaware of.
